Water Getting Into the Basement
As you can see, there is water soaked into the the floor, and it goes all the way up the stairs. If you ever see water like this starting to form in your basement, you need to get your basement waterproofed!
Desperate Times Calls for Desperate Measures
Using a fan to dry up your basement is not a long-term solution. If there's a tiny amount of moisture leaking into your basement, the fan might be a VERY short-term solution, but more and more water is going to keep coming in if you don't get your basement waterproofed, and a fan simply will not be able to handle that much moisture.
Basement Drainge Installation Begins
Something that we knew needed to be installed was our WaterGuard system. WaterGuard is an interior waterproofing system that is more efficient and lasts much longer than other perimeter systems. Unlike other systems where it is placed alongside of the footing, WaterGuard is placed on top of the footing. This is important because now that it's on top, mud will not get in the drain and clog it simply because the drain is not sitting in the mud. The WaterGuard also has a drain outlet directly to the sump pump and will not cause any damage to the foundation.
TripleSafe Installed
Jeff was in need of a sump pump upgrade. Luckily for him, we have our TripleSafe sump pump. TripleSafe has three sump pumps that fit all into one liner. This is important because three pumps won't become overwhelmed with higher pumping demands like a single pump system would. Also, if the power goes out in your home, the third pump serves as a battery-operated backup, meaning that it will take care of any business that needs to be handled until the power comes back on.
IceGuard Helps Sump Pump Throughout the Winter
Sump pumps are designed to get water out of your basement and away from your house, but this can be an issue in the winter. The pipe can become blocked with snow and ice. Now if your pump runs, it won't be able to get anything out and your basement will flood. With IceGuard, it's designed on the outside of the house and automatically removes any water from the outside wall in case the pipe freezes. There are holes in the device that allow for the water to be ejected, but it is designed so water will not get out if the pipe is not frozen.
Last But Not Least, the LawnScape Outlet
The LawnScape outlet attaches to the end of your drainage line to provide an escape for your pumped out water. It's specially designed to resist clogs and will blend in with the surrounding grass.
