Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: WaterGuard and SuperSump Installation in Lansing, MI
Our customer Robert J. from Lansing, MI owns a home built in 1969. This said, the house is susceptible to water issues due to it's age alone. Water has been seeping into Robert's basement, flooding the floor and making the basement unusable. He needed a solution, and fast.
We installed two of our patented waterproofing products for this job: the WaterGuard French drain system and the SuperSump premier sump pump system. The WaterGuard French drain system is a drain that rests below the basement floor and above the foundation footing, collecting water that leaks into the basement from the walls. After this water is in the drain, it is redirected to the sump pump to be pumped up and out of the home. In this case, the SuperSump is the sump pump used.
The SuperSump is a sump pump specifically designed to keep your basement dry for long periods of time. Capable of pumping 2,220 gallons of water per hour, it is suitable for heavy water intrusion.
The Start
Here, one can see that water damage has been done and mold is growing.
Trench for WaterGuard
The WaterGuard must have a trench dug for it to rest in - that is pictured here.
Stones for WaterGuard
The WaterGuard must rest under the floor and above the foundation footing, but it also must sit on stones tp provide better water disbursement.
SuperSump Installation
The SuperSump has been placed in the ground and is ready to be connected and functioning in harmony with the WaterGuard.
All Cemented-Up
The WaterGuard drain is below the basement floor at this time, as well as below a fresh layer of cement.
Fully Installed SuperSump
As pictured, the SuperSump is in the ground and connected to the WaterGuard at this point in time, totally ready for action.
