Flooded Basement in East Lansing
Unfortunately, these homeowners had a flood in their basement because they did not have a proper system in place to collect and discard water entering the home through the wall.
WaterGuard Installed Around Perimeter of Basement
We removed a small section of flooring around the interior perimeter of the basement in order to place specialized drainage pipes, known as the WaterGuard system. These pipes collect water entering the home through the walls and immediately drain it into the home's sump pump.
TripleSafe System Keeps Water Out
The TripleSafe sump pump system was installed to make sure any and all water was being efficiently discarded from the home. This system has three pumps in one liner to make sure water is never an issue for these homeowners. One pump is also battery-powered so the system will continue working even if the power goes out.
The Finished Waterproofing Systems
Once the WaterGuard and TripleSafe systems were installed, we restored the flooring with concrete fill, making sure to leave a small section at the base of the wall uncovered so water can drain down into the system.
Combating Snow and Ice With IceGuard
The discharge line for a sump pump can be blocked by snow and ice during the winter. If the pipe is frozen, water will not be able to exit through the discharge line and will go back into the home, which can cause it to flood. Luckily, IceGuard allows water to easily exit the home, even if the pipes are frozen.
LawnScape Outlet Carries Water Away From Home
LawnScape is an outlet for water to exit from discharge lines in a home. The outlet is placed underground and leads the water away from the property so that it can exit without coming back towards the house.
