Signs Of Moisture
Moisture in the basement is obvious when you look at this back wall with staining from top to bottom.
Painted Walls Show Incoming Moisture
The walls were painted a clean white but incoming water has turned sections of this wall black and brown.
Staining On The Floor
As water consistently puddles in certain areas, brown staining is evident on the floor.
WaterGuard Set Along The Footer
The concrete along the perimeter walls is removed exposing the footer. The WaterGuard drain is then set in place. Holes along the side of the drain helps capture the water and direct it to the sump pump. Drainage stone will fill in around the system before concrete is replaced on top.
CrossTiles Soak Up Water
Crosstiles are installed throughout the center of the basement and terminate at the sump pump. These capture water under the cement foundation where moisture can commonly come up through cracks in the concrete.
Dehumidifier and TripleSafe Remove Water
The SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier is incredibly efficient, removing large amounts of water from the air daily and depositing them in the sump pump for removal. The TripleSafe sump system in the back left of the picture uses a combination of 3 pumps, one of which operates off a marine-style battery to ensure the basement stays dry all the time.
Inspection Ports For Servicing
In the event that the system needs serviced down the road, inspection ports allow us to easily check for blockages or other issues along the system.
WaterGuard Is Almost Insvisible
Aside from the narrow flange along the base of the wall, the WaterGuard system goes virtually unnoticed once the new concrete dries.
Discharge Line Installed
The discharge line for the TripleSafe sump system carries water a safe distance away from the home. IceGuard fixtures along the side of the house provide an escape for water in the event that cold weather causes frozen water to block up the discharge line.
Minimal Damage To Yard
Once the grass is replaced, there's minimal damage to the yard. In a short amount of time, you won't even notice that we were ever there. Before the install is complete, a landscape outlet will be installed on the end of the line to make it blend in the yard and be virtually unseen.
