Home In Need Of Basement Waterproofing
This home that was in the process of being remodeled was needing basement waterproofing. The homeowner preferred an exterior solution and we were able to provide that with sentry seal.
Excavation Around The Home Required
A sentry seal application begins with excavation on the exterior around the walls to be waterproofed. Soil is removed all the way down to the home's footing.
Sealing Process Begins
Once the excavation is completed, the walls are cleaned and primed. The sentry seal application will extend from just above ground level, all the way down to the footer.
Primer Added Around Entire Perimeter
On this home, we were waterproofing the entire perimeter. The primer went on seamlessly around the entire exterior of the home.
Rubber Membrane Applied
Next a sort of rubber membrane is applied to the wall which provides a waterproof seal. Also seen in this picture is the new footer drain that we installed around the exterior.
Membrane Properly Sealed
Once the membrane was applied, any seams were sealed up so that the protection was complete and reliable.
Foam Insulation Completes Project
Foam insulation was installed over top of the sentry seal to help keep the basement properly heated in the winter and cool in the summer months. Once this was done, the ground around the home could be filled back in and the job is complete.
