These homeowners were dealing with a leaky basement and thought it was time to fix the problem once and for all. Water was coming in through various spots in the basement but the northwest corner had the largest leak. The sump pump in the home was unable to gather and pump water outside, leading to a wet basement and water damage. To fully waterproof this basement, we installed the WaterGuard system, a SuperSump sump pump and BrightWall.

Basement Water Leak

This home was had water coming in through their basement walls. Without a proper way to either prevent water from entering or dealing with the incoming water by gathering it and pumping it out of the home, water will continue to occupy the space.

Water Damage

The continuous water leak in this basement resulted in water damage and mold growth.

Faulty Sump Pump

This sump pump had two basic problems. The first problem is its inability to gather water entering the basement and efficiently pump it outside of the home. The second problem is that it does not have an airtight lid. This allows water in the sump to evaporate into the basement, creating excess moisture in the space.

Perimeter Waterproofing System

WaterGuard is a perimeter waterproofing system that ensures any water entering your home will be drained into the specially designed pipes and filtered into the sump pump. The system is installed on top of the footing to prevent it from clogging and is placed slightly away from the wall to ensure any wall leaks have the room to filter into the pipe and exit the home.

The SuperSump sump pump was installed in this basement to ensure any incoming water is immediately drained into the sump and then pumped outside of the home. This system accepts water from underground and from the WaterGuard system to make sure your home is always protected.

BrightWall Meets Waterproofing Needs

BrightWall is a plastic waterproof wall paneling that also serves as a vapor barrier. This paneling is perfect for this leaky basement wall because is directs water to the WaterGuard system and is mold and rot resistant.
