Heavy Water Damage at Perimeter of Basement
It's clear from the staining that water is leaking in through the walls all the way around this basement.
Overwhelmed Sump Pump
This sump pump was in working order, but with no way to direct the water to it, it could only do so much. The addition of WaterGuard as well as another sump to help with the new increased water influx will solve that.
Damage to Ceiling in Wet Basement
Mold, rust, and peeling from constant water and humidity are ruining this basement ceiling.
Water Coming Through Floor in Basement
In addition to water coming through walls, something called hydrostatic pressure can cause water to rise through the cement floor.
Flooded Basement Corner
How fun to slosh through water every time you want something from the chest freezer!
Water Threatens Basement Fixtures
In addition to ruining possessions stored in the basement, leaking and puddling water can rust appliances and fixtures like pipes.
Preparing the WaterGuard Installation
Drainage stone helps disperse the water to prevent backups.
Pouring New Concrete to Restore Floor
Once the WaterGuard is in place, we pour new concrete to restore the floor. To the left, you can see the inspection port, which will allow us to access the system for annual maintenance.
TrenchDrain Keeps High Water Areas Dry
By installing TrenchDrain, which has wide grates for fast water evacuation, in the doorway, we can prevent water backup. It's tied into the WaterGuard, so water will quickly evacuate to the sump pump.
Super Sump Keeps Water Under Control
We installed a Super Sump in another low-lying area of the basement to ensure we were discharging water as quickly and thoroughly as possible.
TrenchDrain Installed
Once new concrete is poured, the TrenchDrain is unobtrusive and level with the floor.
