Flooded Basement In Need Of Attention
This basement flooded during the summer months and the homeowners are worried about mold. The base of the walls and the flooring will be ripped out and replaced with mold-resistant materials. Waterproofing around the exterior will also safeguard the home.
Current Sump Pump Is Inefficient
The current lines connected to the existing sump pump were clogged and nasty. They weren't able to keep up with water removal causing the basement to flood. New waterproofing and a new TripleSafe Sump Pump will remedy this.
WaterGuard Installation Begins
Installation of WaterGuard in the finished basement begins with removing the base of the walls and excavating around the base of the wall to expose the home's footer.
WaterGuard Set In Place
The WaterGuard drain is placed on the home's footer to grab water from the base of the wall and direct it to the sump pump. Stone is filled in around the system and leveled off before concrete is replaced on top of the system.
TripleSafe Sump Pump Installed
The TripleSafe sump system contains 3 pumps. One pump handles the majority of the work while a second pump installed slightly higher provides a fail safe in the event that the first pump were to fail or was not keeping up. A final pump is connected to a battery backup in the event that the power were to go out. The sump system features an airtight lid, floor drain, and a WaterWatch alarm that alerts the homeowner if the water level begins to get dangerously high.
SaniDry Dehumidifier Removes Water Vapors
The SandiDry dehumidifier moves an incredible amount of air through it every minute, removing over 100 pints of water from the air each day. The moisture is deposited in the sump pump for removal from the home.
Discharge Lines Remove Water
Discharge lines are installed to carry moisture far away from the home. IceGuard outlets installed on the discharge line create an escape for water in the event of frozen discharge lines during the colder months.
Framing Repaired With New Materials
The framing at the base of the walls is replaced with inorganic materials that won't rot or mold if they get wet. Once the framing is repaired, EverLast wall panels are installed.
Everlast Panels Outline Windows
The EverLast panels are installed around the windows and the trim neatly and cleanly frames it all in.
EverLast Wall Panels Revolutionize Room
The EverLast Wall Panels are outlined with trim to finish the install. The panels look great against the drywall walls above and the parquet tile floors below.
Moulding Creates A Clean Transition
The parquet tile comes with a moulding that provides for a clean transition between different flooring.
The Finished Room Looks Incredible
EverLast wall panels look great on the walls after WaterGuard installation is complete. ThermalDry Flooring throughout the room creates a Thermal Break to keep the space warmer. The flooring is made from plastic so water won't harm it and it's resistant to mold.
