This rental property was experiencing water in the basement. To keep the home in good order and to maintain tenants in the home, it was necessary that this issue be addressed. The answer was a WaterGuard perimeter drainage system. An area along the perimeter of the basement was excavated to expose the footing. The WaterGuard system is placed right on the footer and the concrete is replaced. Now water that enters the basement is directed into the drainage system before it has a chance to puddle. The water flows to the new SuperSump system and out of the home. The basement in this rental property is now useable space and a selling point for any future tenants.

Water Seepage Evident In Basement

The coloration on the walls around various cracks and corners in this basement are telling of water seepage over time. Cracks like these were found all over the basement.

Waterproofing Begins With Excavation

To begin the waterproofing job, a small area along the perimeter of the basement is excavated. The WaterGuard system will be placed here along the base of the wall below the cement slab.

Concrete Is Replaced Around The Perimeter

Once the drainage system is in place, the concrete is replaced. All that is seen of the WaterGuard System is a small gap along the base of the wall where water enters the system and is directed to the Sump Pump. Our CleanSpace material on the walls helps to facilitate that water flow into the system with no worries of mold or mildew.

Inspection Port Allows For Maintenance Over Time

Inspection ports are installed along the WaterGuard system so that our service technicians can provide assistance in the event that the system has issues in the future that need to be diagnosed or repaired.

The SuperSump system not only has a strong pump, but also features an airtight lid, floor drain, and an alarm to alert the homeowner if the pump fails or isn't keeping up for some reason.

IceGuard Protects Against Frozen Discharge Lines

The IceGuard attachment is added to the sump pump discharge line near the home to ensure that even if ice forms in the discharge line during the cold winter months, the water will still have somewhere to go.
