Coloring On The Walls Alerts To Moisture
The coloring in the corners is a common scene for us. It's a clear indication that water has been seeping in from the walls and flowing to the corner.
Paint Peeling As Conventional Waterproofing Fails
The previous homeowner tried to prevent water from entering with a simple paint job. It didn't work. Paint flakes on the floor are a symptom of poorly performing waterproofing. Time to try something that's going to be a lot more reliable.
WaterGuard And A New Sump Pump Are Installed Along Wet Wall
A small area of concrete is ripped out to make room for our WaterGuard system to sit right at the base of the wall. The piping creates a small gap at the bottom of the wall where water is able to flow down and into the system. Its then directed to the new sump system and out of the home. Once in place, the concrete will be replaced.
SuperSump and SaniDry Xp Protect From Moisture
The SaniDry XP is a fantastic dehumidifier that is able to move a lot of air through it and keep the basement dry. The SuperSump system that we installed next to it has a strong pump, airtight lid, floor drain, and an alarm to alert the homeowner if it's not keeping or if the pump is failing.
SilverGlo Walls And ThermalDry Carpeting Finish Off Basement
ThermalDry flooring creates a break between concrete and carpet to keep the room warmer and floors more enjoyable to walk on. The SilverGlo walls also create a thermal break to keep heat in. Moisture behind the SilverGlo flows into the drainage system and out of the home. These are great for a basement that is being finished. Trim and other wall coverings will make this space look great.
No Better Time To Waterproof The Crawl Space
As long as we're working on the basement, its a good idea to look at the crawl space as well. The area had a lot of falling useless insulation and was definitely susceptible to water seepage. The homeowner wanted the situation fixed.
Crawl Space Shows Signs Of Moisture
The crawl space definitely shows the signs of water. The joists appear as if they have held onto some moisture over the years and the insulation looks wet and ineffective.
Crawl Space Encapsulated And Insulated
Our crew put our durable CleanSpace material throughout the crawlspace to create a moisture barrier. We also put spray foam insulation in the rim joist along the edges and in any cracks to help close the space off completely from the outside.
