Mold Affects Basement Furniture
In addition to warping support beams and causing unpleasant smells and potentially breathing problems, mold will also grow on and consume any wood furniture you may have in the basement.
Bad Sump Pump Doesn't Do the Job
While the basement had a sump, it wasn't doing much - after all, without a perimeter system, it's reliant on gravity for water to actually get to it. The lack of cover also leaves the sump vulnerable to damage.
Mold on Basement Wall
Water leaking in through this wall leaves evidence in the form of mold.
Mold on Wall and Floor in Holt Basement
Mold - black on the wall and white on the floor - has taken over this basement.
Protecting a Basement with WaterGuard
When we say we installed a full perimeter, we really mean it. As you can see from this shot, we installer WaterGuard around the entire basement to make sure it's fully protected.
Heavy Hitters Keep Basement Free From Water
The SaniDry and Super Sump will both do their part to keep water under control and out of the basement.
WaterGuard Installation in Progress
We jackhammer out the perimeter of the concrete slab in order to get the WaterGuard system below the floor.
WaterGuard System Complete
After the system is in place, we pour new concrete to restore the floor. (Note: the black strip shown is installed over a wall crack - it will add structural support as well as prevent leaks.)
Securing the WaterGuard for New Concrete
After everything is in place (and tied into the sump pump), we tape the system down to secure it for drainage stone and new concrete.
