The Realities of a Flooded Basement
You may have a pool table in your basement, but how much use does it get when you have to stack everything on it to avoid the water on the floor? Oh, and everything is covered in mold. Including the pool table.
Staining on Floor Shows Effects of Water
You can tell exactly how far the standing water has made it by the staining patterns on the floor.
Ineffective Sump Pump Can't Keep Up
Clearly, this sump pump wasn't up to the task of keeping this basement dry. First, there was nothing but hope getting the water to the pump, and secondly it doesn't have a cover, which leaves the motor susceptible to damage.

Adding Drainage Stone to the WaterGuard Installation
Drainage stone allows the water to disperse before entering the system, which will keep everything flowing without risk of backup.
WaterGuard Secured for Finishing
After the WaterGuard is in place, we secure it so drainage stone and new concrete can be poured over it.
The Finished Product
Once new concrete is poured, the floor is better than new, because now it isn't underwater. Also RIP to all of the moldy wood panels that had to be removed.
Inspection Port After Concrete
Here, you can see how the inspection port gives us access to the system after the concrete is poured.
