Photo Album: Putting a Stop to Stubborn Leaks in Pontiac, MI

Van had water leaks in his apartment and contacted us at Ayers Basement Systems. After an inspection, an Ayers Specialist determined water was leaking through the foundation, especially under the windows. The team suggested internal draining systems and a sump pump, as no pre-existing pump existed. Van proceeded with the installation, and the crew got to work waterproofing!

Initial Inspection

As seen above, water had caused issues with the insulation and was leaking down to the floor. Moisture like this can cause mold and other problems, so it must be appropriately handled.

Implementing CleanSpace

Van opted to install the CleanSpace liner as it would provide a waterproof barrier. CleanSpace utilizes a heavy-duty plastic liner that forces any water to funnel behind the liner. As the water flows behind the liner, it will drain directly into the WaterGuard System. WaterGuard is a French Drain System that sits above the home's footing and below the floor to ensure it is out of the mud zone!

Installing the SuperSump Plus

Since Van did not have a sump pump present, he opted for the SuperSump Plus. This system utilizes a powerful pump that efficiently pumps water out of the home. Any water that leaks into the WaterGuard system will drain into the sump pump and out of the apartment! Van was thrilled that his water problems were gone!
