Photo Album: Crawl Space Insulation in South Haven, MI

Pipes were freezing in Bill’s crawl space so he called our team asking for insulation options for his crawl space. We installed CleanSpace, a plastic sheet material used as a vapor barrier to restrict all moisture, outside air, and pests from entering your crawl space. CleanSpace creates an energy-efficient crawl space and is a great insulation option for any crawl space. By keeping the outside air out and the inside air in, CleanSpace will allow Bill to no longer worry about his pipes freezing.

Pipes Freezing In Crawl Space

This image shows some of the pipes that were freezing in Bill's crawl space. His crawl space was not encapsulated and so nothing was making sure the pipes were enclosed and kept at a normal temperature.

Pin Point Moisture Reader Shows High Moisture

This image shows a pin point moisture reader that says the crawl space walls are 17 percent moisture. Once CleanSpace is installed it will keep out all the moisture and protect the walls of Bill's crawl space.

Insulation Falling in Crawl Space

Here is an image of insulation falling in the crawl space. Obviously, this crawl space is not well insulated if the insulation is falling apart which is why the pipes were freezing.

Drainage Matting Installed Before CleanSpace

This drainage matting is laid down before CleanSpace in order to make sure all water is drained out from the crawl space properly. Therefore, the crawl space will never have standing water in the future.

CleanSpace Finally Installed to Prevent Future Problems

Here is an image of CleanSpace installed in the crawl space. It provides a nice clean finish, but most importantly it'll insulate the crawl space to keep the pipes from freezing again.
