Photo Album: Installing GeoLock Wall Anchors in Lansing MI

This Lansing home had horizontal cracks and bowing in some walls in the basement and the homeowners were nervous about the walls. They gave us a call to fix the walls before they got worse or crumble. We installed the GeoLock Wall Anchor System. The wall anchors are made of steel for a long-lasting solution to prevent any further movement of the walls. Wall anchors work by extending from your wall in to the stable soil beyond your home. They anchor into these stronger soils and brace the foundation wall to halt movement. This system is installed with minimal disruption to your lawn and they won't take up usable space in your basement.

Cracked and Bowing

The wall is pretty cracked and bowing as you can see from the big cracks in the wall. The wall has wooden posts attached to it that were put there as a temporary solution for the cracking but they didn't stop the movement.

Big Cracks are Bad

It is a little hard to see but the house looks to be leaning a little bit. The bottom of the house also looks as if it is being pulled away leaving a gap.

Not Supporting the Wall

The wood posts that were secured to the wall to try to stabilize it are not supporting the wall anymore. You can see the post is separated from the wall due to the bowing.
