A Constant Problem
Betty was struggling with water seeping into her basement where the wall meets the floor. This is what she frequently faced when entering her basement to do laundry.
Realizing The Need For Expert Help
The problem Betty faced was occurring throughout her entire basement. This made the situation even more stressful for her and spurred her to take action.
Beginning The Transformation Process
For the WaterGuard installation process to begin, the concrete near the perimeter walls was removed. Once the concrete was removed, the WaterGuard drain could be set into place. Drainage stone was then laid around the WaterGuard, this increases the effectiveness of the system and allows for maximum water drainage.
Making The System Seamless
Now the concrete is replaced over top of the system. The wall flange creates a small gap that allows moisture from the walls and cove joint to freely flow into the drain.
Welcoming A New Asset
Once the concrete was replaced, the floor once again became seamless. The WaterGuard system goes virtually unnoticed and is now a welcomed asset to Betty's home. As it dries, the cement will continue to lighten in color making the system even less noticeable.
This Pump Is More Then Safe... It's Triple Safe
The Triple Safe sump pump system that has been installed contains several of the key missing components that Betty's previous sump pump did not have, an air tight lid, floor drain, pump stand, and a pump alarm. These are the essential features will serve the effort of keeping our friends' basement dry.
Don't Forget The Dehumidification System
Wishing to address the humidity and musty smell in her basement, our friend elected to tackle these concerns with the SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. The SaniDry will promote dry breathable air throughout Betty's home. With a complete waterproofing system in place, she is ready to face any wet weather with confidence.
