Photo Album: East Lansing, MI Takes WaterGuard Installation for Wet Basement
This customer had a basement that was suffering from water damage before reaching out to us. Having water in a basement can cause serious issues, not only within the basement itself, but also in the home. For this reason, we went to work.
We installed one of our favorite waterproofing products for this job: the WaterGuard French drain system. WaterGuard rests below the basement floor and above the foundation footing, collecting water that seeps into the basement from the walls. Once this water is collected, it's redirected to the sump pump to be pumped up and out of the home.
With this installement, this customer from East, Lansing, Michigan can be more comfortable in their home.
Pre-installment
As seen in the photo, this basement was taking a beating.
Drain Prep
The crevice hollowed out along the side of the wall is partially filled with stone for the WaterGuard to rest on. The stones help with filtering the water into the drain.
Drain in Place
This snapshot shows the WaterGuard drain in its place in the floor, among the stones.
Almost There!
This is the info step before laying the cement over the WaterGuard.
Finished Product
At this point, the WaterGuard drain is below the basement floor but above the foundation footing, covered by a fresh layer of cement.
