Basement Experiencing Puddling
This basement had experienced puddling around floor cracks for years. As a result, carpet had been pulled up in many of the finished areas of the basement.
Cracks Sealed Inefficiently
The homeowner had pulled up the carpet and attempted to seal the cracks in the floor but the water was still an issue.
Sump Pump In The Basement
A sump pump is hidden in a closeted area of the basement but the water in the basement puddles and never makes it here.
Excavation Throughout Basement
We start the cross tile installation process by removing some concrete and creating a shallow trench.
System Terminates At Sump Pump
The new system will be installed through the halls and rooms, all the way to the sump pump so that water is carried safely from each area to the crock where it can be removed from the home without issue.
PVC Assembled
The cross tile is put in place throughout the hall and each of the rooms.
Drainage Stone Added
The system is properly leveled and drainage stone is filled in around the pipe to facilitate water flow into the system and prevent the cross tile from becoming clogged.
Cement Replaced
The final step of the process is replacing the concrete over top of the system flush with the existing concrete. The basement is now dry and protected and can safely be finished once again.
