Beam In Need Of Replacing
This beam was in need of replacement in a long garage space. With a beam that long, the job was not going to be simple and would need to be expertly executed to ensure the safety of the structure.
Temporary Support Walls Constructed
Temporary support walls were put in place on either side of the beam while the old beam was removed and the new one was put in place.
SmartJacks Support The New Beam
Our SmartJacks are put in place to support the center of the new beam. The SmartJack's strength and expert installation helps support incredible loads and transfers that weight deep into the ground beyond troubled soil.
Soil Removed To Prepare For SmartJacks
To install the SmartJacks, a cube of soil is first removed underneath the location of the jack. This is the first step in making sure that the supported load is transferred deep into the ground to more competent soil.
SmartJacks Installed Above Crushed Stone
Once the hole has been dug, it is filled with a heavily compacted stone. A strong footing is placed on top followed by the jack itself.
Concrete Is Replaced To Complete SmartJack Install
Once the SmartJack is in position, the concrete is replaced. An added feature to the SmartJack is that it is adjustable making it a great permanent solution to many problems and provides a great opportunity to lift floors to their original position.
