Ayers Celebrates 39 Years!

It's been a long time since Virgil started his basement construction company with a garage, a secondhand van, and essentially some pocket change. 

A lot has changed since then.

Virgil has become a team of 150 employees, in the office and in the field, serving the families of Michigan and northern Indiana. That secondhand van is now a fleet of 30+ vehicles that travel the roads day in and day out. And that garage is an active campus still centered right here in Lansing.

We've weathered many storms, figuratively and literally. Recessions, labor shortages, and now even a global pandemic.  We've helped our customers through problems brought on by weeks of double digit rainfall or months of no rain at all. We've tried to "Just Do the Right Thing" from the start; sometimes we've missed the mark and sometimes we've far exceeded it. But we've done it all with optimism, hope, and a fiery spirit. 

We would like to thank our employees, who work tirelessly to create a remarkable experience for our customers and each other. Our network partners Supportworks and Basement Systems for their support and insight over the years. And most of all, we'd like to thank you, our customers and friends, for sticking with us. For trusting us with your homes and then encouraging your friends and family to do the same. We are grateful for everyone on this journey with us and excited for what's to come.
