Annual Maintenance - Wall Stabilization

If you have a wall stabilization system installed, summer is a great time to think about annual maintenance. We’re through the freeze and thaw cycles of spring that can exert pressure on your walls, so checking and potentially tightening your PowerBraces or GeoLock wall anchors now will keep everything stable and strong.  

We’ve talked about the importance of annual maintenance when it comes to waterproofing systems and crawl space encapsulation, but it’s also vital for your structural repairs. Here’s what the appointment will look like. 

You can call us at a time that’s convenient for you to schedule an appointment. If you don’t remember, or just don’t want to have to remember, around the anniversary of your installation, someone from our customer care center will call to see if you would like to schedule an appointment.  

This call is a great time to bring up any concerns you may have, whether it’s about your current system or something entirely new. Maybe you had a wall stabilized but you’re now thinking about installing a dehumidifier, or maybe your sidewalk is sinking - let the customer care representative know and they’ll add a note to the appointment. 

One of our service technicians will arrive ready to address any concerns and check your system. They’ll tighten PowerBraces or wall anchors and hopefully straighten the wall a little. It’s possible that, over time, the wall can be returned to its original position through incremental tightening like this. If any new issues have come up, they’ll make recommendations for solutions as well. 

Even if you never had us out again after the initial installation of your wall stabilization system, the wall(s) would be fine. But by partaking in our annual maintenance program, your walls could be better than fine, and you’ll have the comfort of having an expert set of eyes on your home every year to catch problems before they get out of control. And you don’t even have to remember to call - we’ll take care of that, too.
