What Happens During An Inspection?
Last month, we talked about the process for setting an appointment. But once your appointment is set...what comes next?
First, you’ll receive that information packet we talked about before, including a book explaining what might be going on with your home (based on what you’ve told us), and some information about your system design specialist. You should read the book and, if it brings up any questions, jot them down to discuss at your appointment. We love when our customers have questions!
A few days before your appointment, your system design specialist will call you to confirm and remind you of the time. This is a good time to mention if there’s something different about directions (like if your home doesn’t show up properly on GPS) or anything else you want them to know ahead of time.
When it comes time for your inspection, your system design specialist will do a full inspection of the inside and outside of the affected areas of your home. You are welcome to tag along during the inspection, but don’t feel obligated if your basement isn’t your favorite hangout spot. Post-inspection, the system design specialist will sit down with you and go over everything they found, as well as recommendations. In fact, they’ll build a quote with you right there and give you all of your options.
This may seem pretty involved to you - especially if you’ve ever had a contractor in your home who looked around for five minutes and scribbled some numbers on a piece of scrap paper, or worse yet, never got back to you at all - but it’s how we do things. Every home is different, and the problems in each home can require solutions as different as night and day. There’s no one size fits all answer, and we want you to understand both what’s going on and what we will do to solve it. This is another great time to ask questions about our products and services as we work to create the perfect solution for you.
Once to solution is designed to your liking, you can get on the schedule to get the work done. This is also when you can ask questions about financing (which we offer multiple options of) and the logistics of getting the work done. If you need to think on it, we’ll leave you with a copy of the quote and you can always call and ask questions if they come up.
It’s really as simple as that - our system design specialists go through extensive training so that they can not only design a solution that will solve the problems in your home, but so that they can tell you how and why it will work. So get those questions ready, and we’ll see you soon.
