What Happens When You Make an Appointment?
Whether you have a sudden influx of water in your basement from heavy rains, or you’ve finally decided to bite the bullet and have someone come look at that crack in your foundation, calling and setting an appointment with us is an important first step! The easiest thing to do about a problem is nothing, so taking action is something to be proud of.
That said, you may wonder what happens when you call to set an appointment - will it be complicated, will it take a long time, will you go through five different automated options like when you call the bank - so I’m here to break it down for you.
Here’s what happens when you set an appointment.
1 - You talk to real people, and only real people.
There’s no pressing one to speak to a representative here, only living, breathing people who get mad when you poke them to check (not speaking from experience). Your first contact is with our receptionist, and she’ll transfer you to another real live person to set your appointment. Check out our Meet the Team page for a list of who you might talk to.
2 - You tell us about your concerns, and answer some questions.
In order to send the right system design specialist to you, we do need to ask you some questions about your home and what problems are occurring in it. Not only does this help with logistics (we’re not going to send someone who’s 6’4” tall to check out your 18” high crawl space), but it ensures that we’re ready to address your specific issues without making you repeat yourself a hundred times. We still want to talk to you during the inspection, of course, but it helps to start from a point of knowing what you want to talk about.
3 - We schedule your inspection
While we have you on the phone, we’ll pull up our calendar and find the right appointment for you. We have system design specialists across the state, so we work to send someone who is familiar with your area - because it’s their area, too. We have appointments available at a variety of times so we can work with your schedule.
4 - We send you an information packet.
Remember how I mentioned that we ask you questions about your home and what’s going on in it? Part of that is so we can send you a book that better details what might be happening. It’ll answer some of your questions, and maybe give you enough information that you have new questions. Make sure you read the book before your appointment - we love when you’re ready with questions!
Also in the packet will be more information about the company, as well as a bio sheet for your system design specialist. That way you know who’s coming to your home, their background, and maybe even their hobbies.
5 - We call to confirm.
A day or two before your appointment, your system design specialist will call you to remind you of your appointment day and time and confirm that you’re ready. If something comes up in the meantime and you need to reschedule? Not a problem - just call our office and we’ll get your appointment moved.
6 - That’s it.
No really, that’s all it takes to schedule your free inspection. Call and talk to real people, answer a few questions, and we’ll do the rest! Problems in your home can be stressful - solving them shouldn’t. Call us today to get started.
