Weird Wednesday: Avant Garde Flooring Options
No unexpected wildlife or weird labyrinths of virtual reality today. Nope, this week we're going cute instead of weird, in the form of toddler footprints alllll through some freshly poured concrete.
The culprit's parents were having their basement remodeled, starting with a new concrete floor. While mom was outside talking to the contractor, 2 year-old Izzadora took it upon herself to trek from one side of the basement to the other, leaving footprints in her wake.
This actually isn't that uncommon, though it's more often accomplished by pets rather than children. We once redid the concrete on a new WaterGuard installation after our customer called us because her cat had found its way into the basement and trotted through it.
The cat - and the toddler in this story - are both fine. The concrete was still wet enough that she was able to be cleaned up with soap and water, and the company got such a kick out of it that they created a little spot in the corner for a sanctioned footprint-making of her and her brother.
