Emily called us after noticing an excessive amount of dust in the entire home. They had installed a new furnace and AC unit, cleaned the ducts and cleaned the fireplace with no luck. They wondered if maybe they had some leaky ducts that might be contributing to all the dust. We came out to help determine where the problem might be. In the process of inspecting the crawl space, we discovered areas of moisture and a plastic barrier that was inefficient with rips and tears. With CleanSpace we were able to kill two birds with one stone. Our CleanSpace encapsulation system was able to provide a moisture barrier that was strong and durable to seperate any vents and duct work from the earth below as well as any incoming moisture that might lead to mold or rot. We also put spray foam in the rim joists to close any gaps and finally, we installed SilverGlo insulation on the walls of the crawl space, replacing the inefficient, old, and dirty fiberglass insulation between the floor joists. The crawl space is now dry, clean, and completely closed off. This should greatly reduce the dust in the home, lead to cleaner air, and warmer floors in the winter. When the job was done, Emily conveyed an appreciation for the work that we had done, and we were glad to do it.
