We installed two of our favorite products: the WaterGuard French drain system and the SuperSump premier sump pump system. The WaterGuard system rests below the basement floor and above the foundation footing, catching all the water that seeps into the basement from the walls. After the water is in the drain, it is redirected to the sump pump to be pumped up and out of the home. 

The sump pump we installed for this project was the SuperSump sump pump. The SuperSump is a sump pump specifically designed to keep your basement dry for long periods of time. Capable of pumping 2,220 gallons of water per hour, it is suitable for heavy water intrusion.

With these two systems installed, Tom can be rest assured that water will not be causing problems for him next spring.

For this project we actually installed a product of our usually used for crawl spaces: our CleanSpace crawl space encapsulation system. CleanSpace is a 20mm thick plastic lining that completely seals off the basement (in this case) from the surrounding moisture. By having this barrier, no water or water vapor will be able to get into the basement and then up into the home. And as an added bonus, CleanSpace is made with anti-microbial components that prevent mold growth.
