Jason called us when he noticed that sand was starting to work its way through large cracks in his block basement wall. Upon inspection, our team found a severely bowing wall. Horizontal cracks with large gaps were present. In fact, our system design specialist was able to stick his hand two knuckles deep into the crack. The main concern was that the wall would fail completely leaving Jason's backyard in his basement.

Our crew put in a series of 16 galvanized steel PowerBraces around the basement along failing walls. These PowerBraces extend from the floor to the floor joists above. The floor joists are reinforced in a way that ensure that the load on the braces is distributed evenly and floor above maintains its integrity. The PowerBraces have an awesome and tightening system that other I-Beams just don't have. It allows our service team or the homeowner to slowly adjust the PowerBraces over time during dry periods in a way that could potentially improve the condition of the wall over time and even bring it back to its original position in many cases.

Sinking Front Porch Raised in West Olive, MI

Joey W. of West Olive, MI had a sinking front porch before he reached out to us. A sunken slab, especially a sunken front porch slab, can cause a great tripping hazard to the homeowners and guests. Thus, this problem needed to be addressed as soon as possible.

We used our patented PolyLevel injection foam to resolve this problem. PolyLevel is lightweight yet strong and durable, making for a long-term solution to a sunken slab. In order to inject the foam, we drill small, penny-sized holes into the concrete as access points for the foam. Once we are done injecting the foam, and thus, lifting the slab, we refill the holes so they are practically invisible. This project is very noninvasive but very effective. And after the project is complete, the slab can be walked on again within about 15 minutes.

Dennis K. of West Olive, MI contacted us when he realized the foundation issues he was having had to come to an end. He stated there was a tree located next to his MI basement and that there were some cracks in the cinderblock wall. He also mentioned that the wall was bowing in.
