Stan & Pat L. called us because they noticed a musty smell coming from their crawl space. Although water leakage was never a problem for these homeowners, their dirt crawl space was still allowing water vapor to enter the space. This increased the overall humidity and resulted in mold growth and that noticeable musty smell. Due to the “Stack Effect”, damp air from the crawl space makes its way up into other areas of the home, bringing mold spores with it. 

In order to fix this problem, we encapsulated the space with CleanSpace. CleanSpace is a waterproof and vapor-proof plastic liner that prevents the outside environment from entering the space. The liner is durable and is securely fastened to the walls so you will never have to worry about it falling down or damaging it.
