Sue and Rick gave us a call to get a quote for an exterior drainage system. Their Sunfield, MI home already had a sump pump to keep the inside of the house dry, but they were looking for something that would keep the rest of their property protected as well.
After meeting with Sue and Rick, our system design specialist came up with a plan that she thought would handle all of their needs. By installing and connecting an exterior drain tile to the barn, home, and storm drain, the crew could guarantee that water wouldn’t threaten any part of Sue and Rick’s yard. Since the crew would already be excavating part of the soil to lay the drain tile, Sue and Rick figured they might as well improve on the sump pump discharge, as well. Using a separate line, the crew created a discharge system that would connect both the sump pump and gutter downspout to the storm drain. Why a separate system? Well, if the crew would have just used the drain tile line, they would have run the risk of overwhelming the system and pumping water back into the home. With these two systems running through Sue and Rick’s property, they should never have to worry about any type of drainage again!
