Greg R. contacted us because he was looking for a solution for his damp crawl space. The crawlspace was located outside and had a sand floor and cement block walls. Due to the amount of moisture in the area, mold was also found. The space had a sump pump to remove water from the area, although moisture was still a big issue. One of the first reasons that the crawl space was extremely damp was because of the vents that were allowing moisture to easily occupy the space. We installed vent covers to create an airtight seal between the crawl space and the damp outside environment. Moisture can still make its way into the space through the sand floor and poured concrete, which is why we installed a SaniDry CX. This effective dehumidifier wrings the air dry of unwanted moisture, filters the collected air, and then distributes dry, clean air throughout the entire crawl space.

Next, we moved onto the WaterGuard French drain system. WaterGuard rests below the basement floor but above the foundation footing, collecting water that seeps into the basement from the walls. Once this water is collected in the drain, it is redirected to the sump pump -- the SuperSump -- to be pumped up and outside of the home.
