This cold, damp basement in Sginaw, MI was costing the owner untold dollars in utility bills. A damp crawl space or basement also promotes the growth of mold and the onset of rot, which means more repair bills in the future. We got to sealing and insulating this crawl space with our CleanSpace Crawl Space vapor barrier system that uses a bright white crawl space liner which we installed on the walls and floors. Typical wood crawl space doors can deteriorate over time and can allow insects and other pests to get in your crawl space. Not to mention, wood leaves room for outside air which makes the space cold and damp. Everlast doors are made from thick PVC Plastic and secured with weatherproof knobs. Unlike wood, it won't shrink or deteriorate over time and it won't require any maintenance. Once installed, the door will ensure that your space is sealed off from outside intrusions and keeps the space warm. The SmartSump Sump Pump has a unique lid design so that water can drain down but the damp air will not sneak back up into your space. Tom and his wife moved into their 1970s home in May of 2020 and never had any water issues up until about 6 months ago. He first started seeing water come up through the drain in the middle of the floor and spent a lot of time pushing the water to the sump pump, but the water always came back. He got an inspection done by another company, but hey didn’t notice that the entire sump pump system was clogged. After the inspection, the team at Ayers decided that the PowerBrace System would be perfect for the job! The PowerBrace System are steel beams that are secured to the floor joist above a home's foundation. Once the system is secured, they are tightened, pulling the walls back into place and stabilizing the wall over time! Antrovel was happy to have found a solution that stabilized his home! 

Margo gave us a call over concerns of her foundation walls. Her walls were bowing and she needed a professional eye to take a look at these issues. Our Ayers crew set out for inspection and determined installing PowerBrace along with our CarbonArmor would be the best solution for these issues.

PowerBrace is made up of a steel beam that gets secured to joists above the wall with steel brackets. This will stop any movement happening with the walls so they won't shift out of place. This will also straighten the wall and this system is even able to be tightened. Next, with the CarbonArmor installed this will prevent her walls from bowing by preventing inward movement and reducing cracks in her wall.

Jenna and Joe realized that moisture had begun accumulating on the wall in their basement. The couple peeled back the wall covering, looking for the problem, and saw that even more water had gathered on the cement wall. Lastly, BrightWall was installed where the water was leaking through the walls. BrightWall is composed of rigid plastic that attaches to the wall, creating a moisture barrier and preventing mold. The water from the walls will drain behind the BrightWall and directly to the WaterGuard. Jenna and Joe were pleased to have their home waterproofed and looking much better! 

Tony was tired of dealing with water leaks after the DIY attempt to fix it failed. He gave Ayers a call so we sent out a crew to inspect these issues. It was determined that he would need our WaterGuard, Triple Safe Sump Pump System, and our IceGuard.

Our WaterGuard solution consists of a sub-floor drainage system that works to keep water and dirt away from your foundation. It runs along the perimeter of your basement and is placed on top of the footing of your foundation. The water gets directed to your drainage and sump pump system and then concrete will be poured over this in order to conceal it. Then we installed our Triple Safe Sump Pump System which fits three pumps in one liner. The first pump will do the main job of keeping water out while the second will run if the first pump fails or needs more assistance. The last pump is battery-operated which means it will turn on in emergency power outages. Finally, we installed IceGuard to ensure the drainage lines don't freeze or clog in this cold winter weather!

Tony now has a resolution to his frustrations he was having trying to fix these water leaks himself!

Kathleen was dealing with sagging floors due to her rotting support beam in her crawl space. She saw that Ayers sold crawl space solutions so she gave us a call. We had a crew come to her home for a free inspection and then it was settled that she would need our SmartJacks.

We attach an exterior well with steps leading outside to make this escape route more effective. They allow more natural light to fill the space, making it brighter and more welcoming. Tony's block foundation wall was no longer holding up well since it started to bow. He called Ayers for our foundation repair expertise, hoping for a solution to this serious issue. After our customer care team spoke with Tony, we set an appointment for a free inspection. Our System Design Specialists concluded from the inspection that he would need our CarbonArmor solution. CarbonArmor is a wall reinforcing system made of carbon fiber straps that are secured to the wall. These straps are ten times stronger than steel and are adhered to the wall with an epoxy resin. Once attached to the bowing wall, the system is secured in place with steel brackets and will prevent the walls from moving any further in the future. Anna searched for foundation repair options after she noticed her basement walls shifting. She decided to contact Ayers for professional solutions. Our crew inspected the home and determined GeoLock Wall Anchors were needed to prevent the walls from shifting again.
