Over time, the homeowner had tried reinforcing the beams with planks and blocks, but the gap between the floor and support blocks showed the need for a permanent solution.
When the homeowner reached out to Ayers for help, our system design specialist, Robert, recommended installing SmartJacks and supplemental beams to stabilize the floors and crawl space. The team excavated 2-foot cubes for the SmartJacks, filled them with engineered fill to ensure stability even in the lakefront's sandy soil, and installed the new beams.
