We sent a crew of specialists to his home to investigate, and they recommended installing the SmartJacks supplemental support system. Michelle’s home was located on clay soil and a high water table. After having a tree removed in her yard, the soil shifted, and her foundation started to slope. She planned to have the landscaping corrected to prevent the sloping, but in the meantime, she needed to remove water from her basement that was coming in through a crack in one of the walls. WaterGuard is a subfloor drainage system that sits on top of the footing of the foundation, collecting water from leaks, and rerouting it to the sump pump. Since it runs along the perimeter of the room, water from any spot is easily collected.

We also installed a new sump pump to help this process. The SuperSump has a durable liner, and holes to collect water directly from the ground and a larger hole that collects water from the WaterGuard system. After collecting water, the sump pumps the water out and away from the basement through a discharge line on the side of the house.
