This bowing basement wall was in need of some serious help. Stair-step cracks were found, which is a common sign of wall failure in block foundation walls. This often means that the problem is worsening because as the wall continues to bow, the corners have to rely on adjacent walls to hold it up, creating the stair-step cracks.
We installed the PowerBrace system to support this basement wall. This system involves steel beams that are secured to joists above the wall with steel brackets.
