This home in Rives Junction, MI had a very damp crawl space. With leaky walls, and three sump pumps that didn't work, the moisture had nowhere to go. Our team installed CleanSpace to seal off the crawl space from the leaky walls. This plastic liner is made of many layers making it durable, and it's also antimicrobial. The water from the walls runs along the drainage matting underneath the liner to the SuperSump we installed. This sump pump captures the water and then pumps it out of the space through a discharge line in the yard.

Chuck's Rives Junction, MI home was built in 1972. The original builder tried to cut every corner that they could. There was no sump pump, no drain tile, and the block foundation was never sealed properly. The home was experiencing waterproofing and structural issues. There was only one place in the corner of the basement where water crept in, it was a miracle that the home wasn't a swimming pool. Chuck called Ayers for an inspection, and we determined that he would need WaterGuard, CleanSpace Wall System, and TripleSafe sump pump to address the waterproofing needs.

WaterGuard is a sub-floor waterproofing system that collects water that leaks through the walls and keeps dirt away from the foundation. It is installed along the perimeter of the basement and on top of the footing of the foundation. Concrete is poured on top and regular flooring can be placed on top. CleanSpace Wall System is a moisture barrier that uses a thick plastic liner along basement and crawl space walls to keep them dry and last decades longer. It also has antibacterial properties that prevent mold and bacteria growth.  Damp air takes more energy to heat and cool. Cutting down on the moisture in the crawl space, in turn, will cut down on how much it costs to heat or cool the home. The TripleSafe sump pump system utilizes three pumps in order to remove excess water from the basement. The second and third pumps are in case of emergencies so the basement can remain dry, even when the power goes out.

Michael F. of Rives Junction, MI had water leaking down the wall and pooling on the floor of his basement. This can cause damage not only to the basement but to the house itself. Doors and windows can start to stick and paint can peel off the walls. Thus, Michael reached out to us for a professional fix.

We installed two of our best waterproofing products: the TripleSafe sump pump system and the WaterGuard French drain system. The TripleSafe is sump pump that provides three levels of protection against water leakage. Whether it be normal water supply, heavy volumes of water, or in the case of a power outage, this sump pump will keep your basement dry. For normal water supply, the Zoeller ⅓ horsepower pump functions. At a heavier level, the Zoeller ½ horsepower pump activates. In the case of a power outage, the UltraSump backup sump pump will pump water on a backup battery.

The WaterGuard drain rests below the basement floor and above the foundation footing, collecting water that seeps into the basement from the walls. Once this water is collected it is redirected to the sump pump to be pumped up and out of the home. The TripleSafe, the sump pump in this case, works seamlessly with the WaterGuard system, making this duo foolproof.
