Cracks in your basement wall are never good. They're worse when they're leaking. Even worse? The crack is behind the board where your electrical outlets are (see arrows in before picture).
After removing the board, fixing the crack was simply a matter of installing the FlexiSpan Foundation Crack Repair System, which is a combination of a flexible polyurethane polymer and a drainage well to both reroute the water and adapt to the crack as the walls settle.
With traditional crack repair methods you fix the crack, and then the new crack that branches off when the walls shift, and then the new crack that comes from the change in seasons and temperatures, and etc. FlexiSpan's durable and flexible nature means you fix it once and you're done.

The homeowner in Paw Paw, MI called in and explained her situation to us. The home is set on a high water table area and regularly experiences water coming in from the floor and walls. They found about half of the floor was covered in water. It was time for Ayers to come in and solve this issue.
Our System Design Specialist reviewed the damage and offered a solution. Ayers would install a French Drain System to prevent and protect from water entering the basement, leaving it dry! Our French Drain System is installed underneath the flooring near the perimeter of the basement walls to capture any water from the floor/walls. The water that is captured is run down to the sump pump. From there, the sump pump discharge the water outside through a discharge line located outside underground.

Fred's porch needed some support due to the fact that it was sinking into the ground. Our team installed SmartJacks under his porch in order to prevent it from sinking. SmartJack is a system produced to halt your sagging floors. The Smart Jack system is a permanent fix to these issues. It uses steel columns, threaded rods and a solid base to address any issues your crawl space may introduce to your floors. Installing this system provides immediate stabilization and usually takes less than a day.

Patricia was confused when she constantly found a large puddle in the center of her basement. Not seeing any direct causes, she contacted Ayers and allowed our Foreman Blade to inspect the home.
Based on the location of the home, Blade concluded that the flooding must be due to too much water overworking the draining system. To remedy the problem, Blad installed a TripleSafe pump and a WaterGuard draining system.
TripleSafe is a powerful pump trusted by Ayers. It's trusted due to the sump pump's three levels of precaution to ensure it works around the clock. The 1st level is a powerful motor, the 2nd being a reserve motor if the original gets overworked, and the 3rd level is a reserve battery that activates when the home loses power.
WaterGuard is a system of channels that siphon water that the sump pump can not control. The system leads to a drain port that dumps the water far away from the home. It is installed underneath the foundational floor, making it an inconspicuous means of flood control.
Joel V. of Paw Paw, MI dealt with a wet basement after every rain before he reached out to us for help. A wet basement can cause a myriad of problems for a homeowner, including congestion and moisture in the home itself. That said, Joel needed to solve this water problem.
We installed our patented WaterGuard French drain system for this job. WaterGuard rests below the basement floor and above the foundation footing, collecting water that seeps into the basement from the walls. After this water is gathered, it is transported to the sump pump in the home to be pumped up and out of the basement.
The lower level of an apartment complex was leaking and disrupting the lives of its residents. There is a crack between the floor and wall that is allowing water to enter through. Every time it rains, it gets wet causing an enormous headache. Their space was in need of waterproofing, starting with the Waterguard and our SuperSump sump pump. Waterguard will help guide that water coming in the lower level of the building to the SuperSump sump pump for it to be pumped out.
Now that the water is being pumped out of their lower level we need somewhere for it to go. For this, we installed our Lawnscape Outlet. Discharge lines are just plain ugly to look at, Lawnscape Outlet provides the opportunity to bury those discharge lines underground with a drain outlet to discharge the water away from the area. Finally, in those cold winter months, we want to make sure that when those discharge lines freeze water does not back up into your basement. Iceguard resolves this problem for us, it allows the water to spray out in the case the lines freeze making sure the water still has a place to go.
John H. of Paw Paw, MI was having some problems with his crawl space before he reached out to us. There was water in the crawl space and mold growing in his kitchen and bathroom because of the moisture moving up into the house.
We installed our best system for giving crawl spaces a face lift: the CleanSpace crawl space encapsulation system. CleanSpace is a 20mm thick plastic lining that completely seals off the crawl space from the surrounding elements. This means that no dirt, water, cold air, or moisture will pass through the material if we have anything to say about it. And as an added bonus, CleanSpace is developed with anti-microbial properties that prevent mold growth.
It doesn't get any better than this.
Tabitha N. of Paw Paw, MI had water seeping into her basement and puddling up to an inch. This can cause serious damage to a basement and its contents, so Tabitha reached out to us for a professional solution to her water issue.
We installed two of our favorite products: the TripleSafe sump pump system and the WaterGuard French drain system. The TripleSafe is a sump pump that provides three levels of protection against water leakage. Whether it be normal water supply, heavy volumes of water, or in the case of a power outage, this sump pump will keep your basement dry. For normal water supply, the Zoeller ⅓ horsepower pump functions. At a heavier level, the Zoeller ½ horsepower pump activates. In the case of a power outage, the UltraSump backup sump pump will pump water on a backup battery.
The WaterGuard drain rests below the basement floor and above the foundation footing, collecting water that seeps into the basement from the walls. Once this water is collected, it is redirected to the sump pump to be pumped up and out of the home. The sump pump, of course, is our very own TripleSafe.
This dynamic duo is waterproofing magic.
Tony S. of Paw Paw, MI has dealt with foundation slab problems for years. The slab has been dug out under from critters and was becoming unsafe to the structure of the home. So, Tony gave us a call for a permanent solution.
We used our patented PolyLevel injection foam to remedy this issue. PolyLevel is a lightweight yet strong material that is proven to be better at raising a slab and keeping it raised than mudjacking. We start out the project by drilling small, penny-sized holes into the concrete slab to use as access points for which to inject the PolyLevel foam through. After we inject the foam and raise the slab, we refill the holes -- making this project fairly noninvasive.
No more critters or air pockets beneath this foundation slab.
Phyllis S. of Paw Paw, MI had water puddling in her basement and an intense musty odor being carried up to her home. When she had had enough of these unpleasantries, she gave us a call.
Our solution for her situation was to install the TripleSafe sump pump system and the WaterGuard French drain system.
The WaterGuard systems rests below the basement floor and above the foundation footing collecting water that gets into the basement from outside. After this water is collected it is redirected to the sump pump -- the TripleSafe -- to be pumped up and out of the home.
Greg N. from Paw Paw just moved in a few months ago. Upon moving in, he saw a few cracks in the basement floor but this was his first water problem. Water was seeping up from the floor and there are two hairline cracks. Half of the basement is finished but the water was ruining his carpet. Hence, he gave us a call.
We decided the best fix for his situation was to install our patented WaterGuard French drain system. WaterGuard rests below the floor and above the foundation footing, collecting water that enters in from the walls of the basement. Once that water is collected, it is redirected to the home's sump pump and pumped outside.
Water problems? WaterGuard hasn't heard of them.
Due to rusting support beams and a bowing wall, Josh and Angie were worried about the safety of their Paw Paw, MI home. They began talks with us almost a year ago while their home was still on the market. After a few months passed and they made the decision not to sell, we began a plan to save their foundation. The house was on a hill where the walkout basement was directly underneath the garage. Josh and Angie had noticed large cracks on the basement walls and some on the first floor, as well. Stair step cracking is usually a sign of a collapsing wall. To maintain the structural integrity of the home, something needed to be done to reinforce the support beams and walls.
Our newly available service, shotcrete, can be used to spray cement just about anywhere. After removing the rust from the support beams on the ceiling, the team created a frame for when the shotcrete was sprayed. A new layer of concrete turned the rusty and unstable beams into a sturdy support system for the basement ceiling/garage floor. To counteract one of the collapsing walls, the crew used the hi-tech CarbonArmor Wall Reinforcement system. Although it’s a fast installation, the technology behind the fiber straps has been used to reinforce bomb shelters and bridges, so there is no doubt to its durability and strength. With these two innovative systems working together, Angie and Josh can rest easy knowing their home is safe from the foundation problems of the past.
