Our resident foreman Blade was able to listen to the couple's concerns and look around the area to find a cause. The water was irregular and the flooding was seasonal. Blade realized the home was ill-equipped for winter freezing and thawing in the spring. Blade and his team decided to install an IceGuard modification to help the home.

IceGuard is a modification that attaches to the pipes of the home's sump pump. Without the mod ice can build up when the pump pushes water through the system, risking buildups and ruptures. IceGuard is a simple attachment that requires no energy to function year-round.

We installed our patented WaterGuard French drain system. WaterGuard rests below the basement floor and above the foundation footing, catching all the water that spills into the basement from the walls. After this water is caught it is directed to the sump pump to be pumped up and out of the home. The WaterGuard system keeps water out of your basement and off the floor for good.

Our solution? WaterGuard. The WaterGuard French drain system rests below the basement floor but above the foundation footing, collecting water that seeps in from the basement walls. Once that water is collected, it is redirected to the sump pump in the home to be pumped outside.

The project had three major components: waterproofing, electrical, and finishing.

We installed WaterGuard below-floor drain around the perimeter of the basement, and tied it into a new TripleSafe sump pump to take care of the water issues, and installed a new upgraded electrical panel with a dedicated circuit to make sure the sump pump had the power to run without risking a breaker blow that would affect the rest of the house.

Finally, we installed Brightwall panels on the affected walls to cover up the dismal, crumbling look and to help divert water. Brightwall panels are not only inorganic and waterproof, but they can be tied right into the WaterGuard to directly divert water.
