Which came first: The wall crack or the leak?

It's hard to tell, since water can come in through cracked basement walls but water can also CAUSE wall cracks by weakening the structure, but either way, we can fix it.

These homeowners had a long horizontal wall crack on one of their basement walls (marked in both pictures by the gray tape), along with a leak. After we installed new discharge line and a set of LawnScape outlets to take care of the leak, we used six 8 foot PowerBraces to reinforce the failing wall.

Our fix? Well, we decided that the best duo for this situation would be the WaterGuard French drain system and the SuperSump premier sump pump system. SuperSump is a sump pump specifically designed to keep your basement dry for long periods of time. It is capable of pumping 2,220 gallons of water per hour, so it is suitable for heavy water intrusion.

WaterGuard, on the other hand, is a French drain system. WaterGuard rests below the basement floor but above the foundation footing, collecting water that enters into the basement through the walls. Once that water is collected, it is redirected to the sump pump -- or in this case, the TripleSafe.

For normal water supply, the Zoeller ⅓ horsepower pump functions. At a heavier level, the Zoeller ½ horsepower pump activates. If Amber's home ever loses power, the UltraSump backup sump pump will pump water on a backup battery.

The WaterGuard was installed next -- WaterGuard rests below the basement floor and above the foundation footing, collecting water that enters into the basement from the walls. That water is then redirected to the TripleSafe and pumped out of the home. 

With the installment of these products, Amber can be assured she will never again face the water issues she once did.
