Mary had severe horizontal cracks in her cement block basement walls. Horizontal cracks are usually a result of bowing walls. The cracks usually start out  as small and increase in width over time as the soil from the outside continues to put pressure on the wall. This pressure can be caused by a variety of things such as hydro-static pressure. Hydro-static pressure is caused when water saturates the soils around your foundation and begins exerting that pressure against the wall.

Our team of experts used installed CarbonArmor to resolve Mary’s problem. CarbonArmor is significantly stronger than concrete and 10 times stronger than steel. It’s flexible design allows it to adhere tightly against the basement wall. It is perfect for walls that are bowing and cracked in several places. CarbonArmor’s low profile design allows for it to be installed in tight places and behind obstacles such as pipes or electrical units. The system can easily be painted over or use drywall for a clean and finished look.

Dan E. of Niles, MI had a sinking cement slab that was creating a tripping hazard. This said, he gave us a call for a professional and long term fix.

We used our patented PolyLevel foam injection to solve this problem. PolyLevel is proven to be better and raising a slab that mudjacking and is far less intrusive. We begin by drilling penny-sized holes into the slab and after the PolyLevel is injected the holes are refilled. In the end, the slab can be walked or driven on in roughly 15 minutes.

Our solution? The TripeSafe sump pump system and the WaterGuard French drain system. The TripleSafe is a sump pump that provides three levels of protection against water leakage. Whether it be normal water supply, heavy volumes of water, or in the case of a power outage, this sump pump will keep your basement dry. For normal water supply, the Zoeller ⅓ horsepower pump functions. At a heavier level, the Zoeller ½ horsepower pump activates. In the case of a power outage, the UltraSump backup sump pump will pump water on a backup battery.

The WaterGuard French drain system rests below the basement floor and above the foundation footing collecting water that seeps into the basement from the walls. After this water is collected it is directed to the sump pump -- the TripleSafe -- to be pumped up and out of the house.

Peggy called a year after her husband had died, with the ongoing problem of her basement looming. There had been water problems in the basement every time it rained for quite a while, but now that she had the time to focus on it, she realized she had no idea what to do. Luckily, she called us.

We installed a full perimeter of WaterGuard below-floor drain to shuttle the water to a new TripleSafe sump pump. A SaniDry dehumidifier was installed to take care of ambient moisture. Those products working in conjunction will take care of any incoming water and keep the basement dry and safe for storage.

Speaking of storage, we also helped Peggy out by cleaning out some items cluttering the basement, so not only is the basement dry, it's also usable again.
