FlexiSpan Seals the Real Estate Deal in Middleville, MI

This Middleville, MI resident was in the process of preparing to sell her home when she gave us a call. Worried that water seepage through a small crack in her wall would hinder the sale, she sought us out looking for an effective solution that wouldn’t break the bank.

FlexiSpan was just the thing for her. The flexible polymer was plugged into the crack to create a durable seal that will hold back water. After the sealant was in place, a drainage layer was added in front of the seal. If any water should penetrate the first layer, it will flow down the wall behind the drainage layer and into the newly installed drainage system at the foot of the wall. Hopefully, the rest of this sale goes as smoothly as the installation of the FlexiSpan system.

Recently, the soil that was holding up the slabs of this Middleville, MI walkway had started to wash away. And without any soil below the concrete, the slabs began to sink bit by bit every time they were stepped on. Since there were only a few slabs that were visibly settled, the owner was thinking about just replacing them. After contacting us, we explained the benefits of concrete lifting instead. While the slabs would have been easy enough to replace, they weren’t the problem. The soil had washed away and would more than likely continue to, even with new slabs. A more permanent solution would involve treating the source of the problem: the missing soil and support.

For concrete lifting and leveling, we use the PolyLevel Injection System. PolyLevel is a waterproof and durable foam. Once injected below the ground, the foam fills in the voids left when the soil washed out and provides a new base for the slabs to rest on. The injections are controlled by our project managers and use only the necessary amount of PolyLevel foam to even out the path. A few minutes later and the walkway was all ready for use again.

Tradeshow Attendee Chooses to Encapsulate Crawl Space

Ayers captured this Middleville homeowner’s attention at a tradeshow. Wayne had a crawl space in his home, and while it wasn’t damp—thankfully—he was informed on the benefits of encapsulating the space and decided to have our team come to his home and do exactly that.

Encapsulating a crawl space is a smart idea to eliminate water vapor that comes from the floor and through the walls, keep outside air from coming in, and seal off the home from the earth to keep critters out. CleanSpace is what we use to do this. This liner is thicker and more durable than other crawl space liners, and since it’s fixed to the floor and walls, it provides a foolproof, sturdy moisture barrier.

Coupled with our crawl space insulation for both the floor and walls, SilverGlo and Terrablock to help keep the floors above much warmer, CleanSpace cuts energy costs for Wayne and gives him peace of mind that the crawl space will remain dry for years to come.

Job Stories From Middleville, MI
Restoring Stability: Repairing a Cracked Retaining Wall in Middleville, MI

When this homeowner noticed a large crack running from top to bottom on their retaining wall, they knew action was needed to prevent further damage. Built in 2000, the home relied on the wall for structural support, making its stability critical. Concerned about safety, they contacted Ayers for a solution.

System Design Specialist Caleb recommended GeoLock Earth Anchors to stabilize the wall and gradually restore its position. Our crew installed the anchors by connecting heavy-duty steel plates on the wall to earth anchors embedded in stable soil using steel rods. This system counteracts the pressure causing the crack and allows tightening to straighten the wall over time.

The homeowner now has peace of mind knowing their retaining wall is secure, protecting their home for years to come.

Sagging Floor in Middleville, MI, Home Raised by SmartJacks

Helen recently noticed the floor in her dining room was sagging and a little bouncy. She was unsure what caused the issue and how to fix it, so she researched her options and called Ayers for help. We sent a crew of specialists to her home to evaluate the situation and recommend a solution. They suggested the installation of SmartJacks, a system of floor jacks built with longevity to last alongside the house. Each SmartJack is hot-dipped in galvanized steel, zinc plated, and has a two-foot-deep base to increase load-bearing capability. Helen is happy with her balanced floor!

PolyLevel Lifts Front Porch in Middleville, MI

Rick S. from Middleville, MI dealt with a sunken front porch before he reached out to us. The loose soil underneath the porch had caused a wash out, leading to a falling slab.

Our solution? PolyLevel foam injection. PolyLevel is a lightweight foam that raises slabs for the long-term. We start by drilling penny-sized holes in the slab and inject the foam through them. When the PolyLevel is in place, we reseal the holes, making the project very non-invasive.

Woo-hoo! Go PolyLevel!

FlexiSpan Seals Off Leaky Wall in Middleville, MI Home

A cracked, leaky basement wall can put a real downer on a home. Lindsey H. from Middleville, MI had a cracked wall that allowed for water to enter into the basement and needed a solution. So, she called us.

We used our patented FlexiSpan polyurethane sealant. FlexiSpan is, like it sounds, very flexible, and will move with the nautral shift of the basement wall. This ensures a total waterproof seal for the long haul.

Lindsey, you can now rest easy with this product.

SaniDry XP: The Beast of a Dehumidifier

Beth K. of Middleville, MI had a musty odor coming from her basement. That said, she did not have any standing water or dampness anywhere. Thus, she faces a humidity problem.

And we had a solution: the SaniDry XP dehumidifier. The SaniDry XP can collect up to 109 liters of water per day, keeping your basement as dry as ever. On top of that, the SaniDry XP is compact enough that it can be placed in a closet or against the wall to avoid taking up living space.

Dirty Crawl Space is Transformed in Middleville, MI

Wayne W. of Middleville, MI had a crawl space that was always dusty and dirty, and he wanted a fix.

Our solution was to install our patented CleanSpace crawl space encapsulation system. CleanSpace completely seals off crawl spaces from the surrounding elements, leaving the space clean and dry. No water, cold air, dirt, or moisture has a chance of entering the crawl space. Plus, as an added bonus, CleanSpace is made with anti-microbial components that prevent against any type of mold growth.

Wayne can now enjoy a clean crawl space that can be used for storage.

Waterproofing System Installed in Middleville, MI

Kayla from Middleville, MI used to get water in her basement when it would rain or when the snow would start to thaw. Then, she called us.

We first installed our patented WaterGuard French drain system. WaterGuard rests below the floor and above the foundation footing, collecting water and redirecting it to the sump pump. WaterGuard is covered with a new layer of cement after it is completely installed, disguising the drain altogether.

Next, we installed the SuperSump premier sump pump system. The SuperSump is perfect for keeping a basement completely dry even in times of heavy water intrusion. It includes a powerful Zoeller ⅓ horsepower cast-iron sump pump, capable of pumping 2,220 gallons of water per hour at an 8-foot head out of your basement.

Kayla, you're good to go!
