This home in Mc Bain, MI was well over 100 years old, and this basement was in dyer need for help. After each rainfall, dirt would wash into the home, and the foundation seemed to be very unstable because of this.
We first added SmartJacks in the basement to support and stabilize the weakened floor joists. These special steel support beams work very well in problem soils to keep the floors above stable. Shotcrete was also applied in the basement to fix and strengthen the walls.
