This customer contacted us because she wanted to find an effective solution that would fix her cracked foundation wall. Upon inspection, we found that water was entering the home through the crack, even though no major standing water was found.

Before the situation worsened, we needed to seal off the crack to prevent water leakage and stop the crack from expanding. This is where the effective FlexiSpan system came in. To begin, we installed a drainage grate in the ground to accommodate intruding water. Next the FlexiSpan material was applied to the wall to seal off the crack. This flexible material is able to move with the natural shift of the wall to provide an effective waterproof seal. Once applied, the homeowner could rest knowing the situation was resolved before any major damage occurred.

This customer had a crack in his basement wall that stretched the entire height of the wall. The crack was allowing water to enter the basement and the homeowner was looking for a solution that would effectively seal off the crack and prevent water from entering.

Jim and Lonnie were surprised when they noticed that their attached garage looked like it was pulling away from the house. They weren’t exactly sure what was going on, but they had also seen a large vertical crack on the inside wall of the garage. They suspected that the problem was with the footing of the garage, but they didn’t want to dig it up to check. So they called a company who would do it for them.

Our crew went to Jenison, MI and got right to work on lifting the tipping garage. The crew had determined it was only the front corner of the garage that had started to sink and caused the tipping appearance of the garage. The first step to solving the problem was raising the foundation walls with the piering system. They put 3 different helical piers on the corner, one on each wall and one directly at the corner. The piers were driven into deep, untouched soil and then attached to the foundation. This way Jim and Lonnie's garage has a much more stable base. The crew then lifted the actual concrete floor up with a PolyLevel injection. PolyLevel is a waterproof foam that replaces sunken soil under concrete slabs. The foam expands and fills the voids left by the soil until the slab reaches a leveled height with the rest of the floor. After the two part project, Jim and Lonnie’s foundation was back to being completely upright.
