Stopping Creeky Floors

Jo had had enough of his creaky floors and was ready to find a permanent solution. He contacted Ayers and allowed our resident foreman Bruce inspect the home. Bruce found that the home's crawlspace was in need of support.

 

Bruce and his team installed a new sump pump and added a modification to help water flow during the winter. To help with the support structures Bruce added SmartJack piers at strategic points.

Jo was tired of seeing his sloped floors so he decided to contact Ayers for a professional solution. Our foreman Bruce was able to inspect the area and listen to Jo's concerns. The home's crawlspace was lacking in support so Bruce decided to install SmartJack piers.

 

SmartJack piers are metal beams placed strategically along the structure's supportive rim joist. The bottoms are anchored into the ground with poured concrete while the tops are capped with load-bearing joints that are attached to the rim joist. The entire pier's height is adjusted till there is constant pressure being applied, reintroducing support to the entire framework. 

Ayers Fixes Leaking Basement in Harrisville, MI

This 100 year old home had water leaking all over. There was two different levels to the basement and there was nothing installed for waterproofing, such as a drainage system. 

We were able to install our WaterGuard system for this leaking basement. WaterGuard is a perimeter system that is installed above the footing rather than alongside it so no mud or debris gets inside. It also has a built in 3/8 inch gap between the floor and wall to drain any wall leaks. This system once installed will direct any water that comes into the basement to the sump pump where it can be pumped out of the basement.
