Cracks in Basement Ceiling
Cracks in the ceiling are a serious issue and if you see them you should take action immediately! They are usually a result of foundation issues and will only get worse if not addressed.
Bowed Walls
The walls are slightly bowed inward and are a direct result of the home slipping downward. This means the foundation is slipping and as a homeowner, it is your duty to take action.
Crawl Space
The crawl space is being supported by rotting wood posts and cinder blocks. This may not be a problem now, but with other foundation problems, it will be a problem sooner rather than later.
Rotting Wood Posts
This wood is being worn down and needs to be replaced as soon as possible. The wood is most likely under more stress due to slipping foundation of the home.
Base of SmartJacks
The SmartJacks need a secure base to be able to support your home. The foot of them is placed in ground below the floor in a bed of support rocks.
SmartJacks
To complete the installation, the base of the SmatJack is covered in cement to ensure that they do their job correctly.
Crawl Space Jacks
The wood posts are replaced with steel beams before the SmartJacks can be installed. This is to ensure that the SmartJacks are able to do their job because the wood puts them at risk of failing.
