Mark has a crawl space with mold, dirt, and other debris inside of it and it is a huge problem for him. His crawl space is also being supported by cinder blocks. This is a huge hazard because if a block were to slip his crawl space could collapse. To fix these problems our team determined that we should first clear out all debri and use a humidifier to eliminate all moisture. Next we installed CleanSpace drainage matting to prevent moisture from standing in the crawl space. Finally, the SmartJacks were installed to replace the cinder blocks supporting the crawl space.

Crawl Space Entrance

You never know what you can find in an ignored crawl space. There is always the hazard of something being inside of such a small space underneath your home.

Standing Water

Any water inside of your crawl space is bad because it will lead to mold. All mold needs to survive is moisture and an organic surface such as dirt, wood, or insulation.

Mold

Once wet, organic materials like this wood will start to grow mold. Mold can be present even if not visible. Mold can also lead to bad air quality in the rest of your home if not taken care of properly.

Cinder Blocks

It is not uncommon for crawl spaces to be supported by cinder blocks, but it is very dangerous. If these blocks slipped the crawl space could collapse and compromise your entire home.

Drainage Matting

The CleanSpace drainage helps irrigate water to the proper drainage source. This in turn help prevents standing water and mold, also it looks better than a dirt floor.
