Basement Wall Cracks Fixed with Wall Anchors in Cedarville, MI

This homeowner discovered large cracks in his basement walls years ago and tried to seal them on his own.  However, the sealant did not last and now the cracks are growing larger.  The resident wanted to close the cracks and prevent any water, insects, or other unwanted debris from entering his basement.

Solution

Ayers Basement Systems solved this homeowner’s problem by installing a Geo-Lock Wall Anchor system.  Wall anchors are the proven solution for cracked or bowing walls.  They stabilize the walls and provide the best opportunity to straighten them over time.

Heavy-duty steel anchors are installed in the soil out and away from the home.  The anchors are attached to the wall plates on the interior of the walls with long galvanized steel rods.  A unique feature of the Geo-Lock system is the ability to tighten the anchors when the soil around the home shrinks during dry periods.  This enables the possible improvement of the basement wall.
