The first step when installing the sump pump into Holly's house was to remove the concrete and dig down to a level where water is prevalent. Once the desired depth was met, the liner for the pump was placed and surrounded by rocks.

Stopping Ice Buildup in a Drainage System

Often times the change in weather sets off issues with a home that would otherwise not be an immediate problem. The issue that Holly and Matt ran into with their home was the fact that their sump pumps draining system was not equipped for the winter at all. After contacting Ayers, our foreman Bruce was able to find the products that would give the home the exact tools it needed to keep water out year-round.

 

Bruce fitted the drainage system with a modification known as IceGurad. IceGuard is placed on the piping that leads to the sump pump, creating a barrier that prevents ice from forming and blocking the entire system.

 

As a final measure, Bruce covered the entire crawl space with CleanSpace antimicrobial lining. The lining acts as a barrier that protects the home's support structures from moisture that could invite mold and other complications.

I have a two story home built in 1969 with a dirt crawl space. The floors on one side of the home are not level. I am not sure if it is a foundation issue or an issue with the joists in the crawlspace. Unfortunately I don't know enough about the problem to give a definitive cause. I don't see cracking in the walls or bricks but the sliding glass door on the non level side has become harder to open. I'd like to have an expert diagnose the issue and give me options to fix it as well as an estimated cost.
