Ayers Initial Inspection
As seen above, the cement was quite unlevel, and a tripping hazard had formed by the door. Once Manuel and the team at Ayers agreed on the pier system, the team got to work. The first step in the process was removing the cement where the pier system would go.
Removing the Cement and Preparing the Pier System
Once the team at Ayers had dug up the cement by the door, they could begin drilling the pier in the ground. The Helical Pier system utilizes helical blades on the bottom portion of the pier, allowing it to screw into the soil. The pier was drilled until the load-bearing ground was met next to Manuel's home!
Finalizing the Installation
Once the Pier system was set and secured, the Ayers team could permanently level and stabilize the foundation! Manuel has thrilled that the sidewalk was level and, most importantly, that his foundation was stabilized! Additionally, the cement was filled back in, leaving the sidewalk looking better than before!
