Christine dealt with a cracked foundation for as long as she could remember. She tried many different methods to fix the issue, but nothing worked, so she researched her options and called Ayers for help. Our crew of experts stopped by her home to evaluate the space and provide a solution. They realized the cracks were spreading from the inside to the outside of the house, so they recommended installing helical piers. This system uses helical plates welded to the pier shaft to help pull the pier into the soil during installation. The process provides anchoring strength and shifts the weight of the foundation to the pier. Christine is relieved to have a stabilized foundation!
This homeowner had standing water in their basement so they called us for a solution. We installed the WaterGuard system which is a French drain that is designed to be installed below the floor slab to be kept out of the "mud zone", where drains can clog. The system collects water that seeps into the basement and drains it to your sump pump.
We also installed the IceGuard to the discharge line. If a discharge line gets backed up, your sump pump won't work properly in the event of water in your basement, which will make the flooding much worse. The IceGuard is a secondary escape route for the water through slotted openings if the line gets backed up.
