Julie D. contacted us because she was looking for an effective solution that would fix her foundation settlement issue. The floor in her kitchen and dining room area was sinking several inches and without a proper fix, the problem would continue to worsen over time and cause multiple other issues for the homeowner.
In order to lift the sunken foundation and prevent it from settling again in the future, we installed helical piers. We first removed the soil outside of the settled area in order to install the piers at the footing of the home. The helical piers were then secured to the home with steel brackets and were then drilled down deep into the ground until they reached stable soil. Once the system was completely installed, the home was lifted, permanently stabilized and the excavated soil was replaced. This system ensured the weight of the home was transferred down through the piers and into stable soil, which would prevent it from sinking once again.
